Low level powered access specialist Custom Equipment will launch its first 19ft Hy-Brid scissor lift in February.
The PS-1930 will be the first in a new ‘Pro Series’ range and will feature a significantly lower scissor stack to the majority of 19ft scissor lifts on the market. At under 1.9 metres high and 762mm wide it will pass through standard single doorways without need to fold down guardrails. It will also benefit from a low step in height.
The new model will incorporate the company’s LeakGuard system, which is
sufficient to capture and retain all of the machine’s hydraulic oil in
the case of a catastrophic failure of a hose or fitting, it will also
meet the new ANSI A92.20 standards.
We understand that the new machine will have a very good platform capacity for its size – at just under 300kg – will be rated for indoor and outdoor use without compromising on the manufacturers reputation for machines that offer low ground bearing pressure. Total weight is likely to come in at around 900kg.
More details should be released in time for the January issue of Cranes & Access which includes a feature on scissor lifts. The new machine will be shown for the first time at the ARA show in early February.
