Maxim Crane Works is to acquire B&G Crane Service a stand alone wholly owned subsidiary of Canada’s NCSG.

B&G Crane is one of the largest providers of crane rental and lifting solutions in the Gulf Coast Region of the United States. The move expands will significantly expand Maxims operations in what is currently one of the most important regions in the country. Maxim plans to integrate B&G Crane into its existing operations in the area.

Maxim chief executive Bryan Carlisle said: “B&G Crane offers one of the most experienced teams of crane professionals in the region. Their state of the art fleet provides customers with a ‘best in class’ brand of products, parts, services and rental equipment. We are confident that the combination of B&G and Maxim will bring added value to our combined customer base, employees and the industry.”

Founded in 1946 by Xavier Grilletta B&G Crane is based in New Orleans, Louisiana with branches in Baton Rouge, Louisiana along with Beaumont, and Baytown, Texas. It covers the Gulf Coast and South Eastern United States with a fleet of 150 cranes ranging from four to 800 tonnes .

The company was acquired by Canada’s NCSG in April 2015 it had been part of the private equity firm Sterling group which acquired the business in 2010 In 2011 B&G acquired Texas based Ray Anthony boosting its coverage of the market in Texas.
